We often talk about NEMA 4X and 6P Enclosures, but what does a NEMA 6P rating mean? The NEMA 6P rating requires an enclosure to remain airtight while submerged at 2 meters for 24 hours. Although this video does not depict the actual UL Lab test, it provides an insight into how your Fibox ARCA-JIC enclosure will protect your design.
Although we filmed this video in a residential pool, the concepts and protocols remain the same. The enclosure was submerged at a depth of 2 meters for 24 hours. The next day the enclosure was removed from the pool and dried off to prevent any water dripping in when opened.
